It was a cold cloudy spring day, which made for some great photographs of this cute family. I've known the Marrs family for some time, in fact their youngest one is just about 4 months younger than my little girl. The kids were real troopers and did a fantastic job posing for the camera, despite the chill in the air. What was interesting about this shoot is the fantastic gigantic tree, they told me that this spot is a favorite of the family. This tree has seen many celebrations and memories over time, it was a truly perfect place for their family photographs.
I got to spend a lovely Saturday photographing these three adorable kiddo's for their Easter Pictures. We headed to the beautiful El Dorado Hills Library to capture photographs of these sweet cousins in their Easter outfits.

My daughter is one well photographed child. I have a lot of fun with her photo-shoots and try to capture unique and fun imagines that she will enjoy as she grows older. She loves when we watch the Tinkerbell movies and cuddles up in my lap captivated by show. I felt that this little session was fitting for her (The adorable outfit was knitted by my best friend).
We met up for this session at Gold Bug Park, a little gem in El Dorado County. Wesley was a little shy at first and held on tight to his Thomas the Train and Dinosaur toy. Soon though we were playing a little game of camera tag around the tall grass and I captured some adorable genuine smiles from that little man. His smile just melts your heart.
It is a small town where I am from, that is for sure. I met Trevor a few years back when I took his senior portraits. His mother and mine work together at my old K-8th school (his mother was also my 7th grade teacher). I had the pleasure of meeting his lovely fiance Brook when we were discussing wedding photographs, it turns out that she knows my sister and her in-laws. I told you it is a small town :-).
Brook and Trevor were naturals in front of the camera, their session ran smoothly. We had a great time photographing some fun and lovely moments. I am looking forward to their approaching May wedding and all the wonderful memories I will capture then!
I have known Hunter since he was just a bun in the oven. In fact his mama and I were pregnant at the same time (few months apart)! I was able to capture his newborn portraits and now his one year. I have just adored watching him grow and I look forward to capturing more milestones in this handsome little dudes life. Happy birthday Hunter.
Back in November I had a contest offering a free single child portrait session (in honor of my daughter turning one). Dravin's mommy was the winner, and it couldn't have come at a better time. After the holiday rush we scheduled the session for the month of his birthday. that is right, this little cutie turned three!
The session went smoothly, he was ready to cheese with the promise of banana ice cream from his mom. Just check out these adorable images we captured! Happy birthday Dravin :-)
I finally finished up my daughters one year portraits. Having a vision in my head of what I wanted, it took a while due to illness, weather and other life distractions. They say the third time is a charm right? Well for us it was.
I still can't believe she is over one now, time really does fly by when you have a child in the home. I just love my spunky little peanut, and watching her personality grow each day. I love you Stevie-Lynn!
I met Jeremy and Lacei back in high school when we were all active in the theater department. It seems like so long ago (coming up on 10 years now), that we were all young teenagers painting sets and goofing off backstage. Now here we are, all grown up!
I was beyond thrilled when these two love birds asked me to photograph their upcoming wedding in March. Seeing them in person again brought back so many fond memories for me. They made my job easy at their engagement session. It's plain to see how in love they are.
Ever since going through pregnancy myself, I just adore any chance I get to capture maternity photographs. It is about the mothers connection to her baby, and the joy and love surrounding their family.
Courtney & Cory were both beaming with happiness the entire time. I captured moments of sincere love of this young family, who can not wait to meet their baby girl! Congratulations to you both, she is going to be one well loved little miss.
